JOB GOAL: PR/Marketing Intern assists the Queen Creek Unified School District Public Relations & Marketing Department with spreading positive sentiment about the district through stories about students and staff in the form of videos, photos, and social media.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal 
  • Photojournalism experience 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Experience with DSLR cameras and Sony XDCAM 
  • Experience with wireless mics 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills 
  • Must obtain or possess an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

  1. Supports the Strategic Plan of Queen Creek Unified School District.
  2. Create content for district social media, website and other platforms (print, digital, video)
  3. Edit video
  4. Research employee and student accomplishments and school success stories to identify and create marketing opportunities

COMPENSATION: Per District Support Service Professionals - Classified Hourly

BENEFITS: As per District policy

REPORTS TO: PR/Marketing Director

EVALUATION: Initial evaluation to be completed no later than ninety (90) days after first day of work; thereafter, annually by supervisor.

HOURS: 24 hours per week and may require longer hours and frequent weekend and night work

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
