TITLE:

Maintenance II

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid Arizona driver’s license.
3. Satisfactory criminal back ground check.
4. Experience with computers, such as email and work order systems.
5. Position requires physical demands, lifting 50-60 lbs of force frequently, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
6. Ability to walk, reach, climb or balance, stoop or kneel.
7. Knowledge of hand and power tools.
8. Must have five years of experience in a combination of construction, plumbing and gas repair.
9. Read and understand blue prints and closeout books.
10. Understanding building codes.

REPORTS TO:

Maintenance Supervisor

JOB GOAL:

Under general direction, performs skilled and semi-skilled work in the repair and maintenance of mechanical or electrical equipment, buildings and grounds.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

1. Responsible for routine maintenance on all District facilities.
2. Performs repairs, alterations, preventative maintenance, construction and installation of equipment for site buildings.
3. Processes work orders in a timely manner.
4. Establish and maintain records for materials and parts required to complete work orders and construction projects.
5. Assist Maintenance Construction Lead in defining construction project tasks.

6. Being flexible and performing other duties in the Building Operations Department as assigned by the Supervisor.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

12-MONTH; Vacation Days:  per policy GDD.

General Leave Days: per policy GDCA

COMPENSATION:

Classified Salary Schedule Level P

EVALUATION:

Initial evaluation to be completed no later than ninety (90) days after first day of work; thereafter, annually by supervisor.
