TITLE:

CROSSING GUARD

QUALIFICATIONS:
|
- High school education preferred.
- Experience in working with children.
- Ability to work well with children and teachers.
- Ability to communicate with teachers and parents.
- Ability to manage small groups of children.
- Ability to get along with co-workers.
- Complete crossing guard training course offered by District Security.
- Must pass fingerprint and background check.
- Has ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and kneel for long periods of time.
- Has the ability to exert up to 20 lbs. of force to lift and/or move objects.

JOB GOAL:
|
Perform all duties associated with the safety of arriving and departing students.
|
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Help the students cross in a safe manner.
- Place and remove the cross walk signs as scheduled.
- Complete duties as explained in the crossing guard training.

Days determined by the School Administrator; Vacation Days: per policy GDD. General Leave Days: per policy GDCA

COMPENSATION:

Classified Salary Schedule, Salary Grade Level: A

EVALUATION:
|
Initial evaluation to be completed no later than ninety (90) days after first day of work; thereafter, annually by supervisor.
